📉 Trey Songz Reaches Confidential Settlement In Miami Assault Lawsuit

Trey Songz, born Tremaine Neverson, has quietly put an end to a high-profile legal battle. The R&B star reached a confidential settlement to resolve a lawsuit accusing him of sexually assaulting a woman at a Miami nightclub on New Year’s Eve in 2018.

The lawsuit, filed by Jauhara Jeffries, claimed that Songz non-consensually penetrated her with his fingers while they were dancing at E11even Miami in the early hours of Jan. 1, 2018. Jeffries also accused the nightclub of serving the singer alcohol despite his documented history of substance issues.

Songz consistently denied the allegations, and the case was set to go to trial next month. But according to new court filings, all parties agreed to a settlement. Judge Antonio Arzola confirmed the matter on Sept. 9, dismissing the case while reserving the right to enforce the terms if necessary.

As is typical in these situations, details of the settlement remain private. Jeffries’ attorney, Ariel Mitchell, only confirmed that the matter had been resolved. Representatives for Songz and E11even Miami have not issued statements.

This isn’t the first time Trey Songz has been entangled in legal troubles. The “Bottoms Up” singer previously settled a case tied to a 2016 Los Angeles house party and is facing another trial in 2026 related to a 2021 Las Vegas incident.
