š Akonās Wife Tomeka Thiam Files For Divorce After Nearly 30 Years Of Marriage
After almost three decades together, Akonās longtime wife, Tomeka Thiam, is officially pulling the plug on their marriage.
According to newly filed court documents, Tomeka filed for divorce just four days before what wouldāve been their 29th wedding anniversary, citing irreconcilable differences. The filing notes that the couple tied the knot back in September 1996 and share a 17-year-old child.
Tomeka is requesting joint legal custody of their teen but is asking for primary physical custody. Sheās also seeking spousal support, while making it clear she doesnāt want Akon to receive any financial support from her.
Akon has always been cryptic about his marital status and how many wives he actually has. Over the years, heās hinted at having multiple partners but never confirmed exact details. Regardless, this marriage to Tomeka Thiam is officially over.
