🎥 Newly Released Video Could Clear Late LSU Star Kyren Lacy — Footage Shows He Wasn’t Near Deadly Crash

A newly surfaced video might completely change the story surrounding former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy, who was accused of causing a deadly car crash in Louisiana early last year.

The footage, released by Houma TV Station HTV, appears to show Lacy was nearly 100 yards behind the cars involved in the fatal collision — contradicting police reports that claimed he was weaving through traffic and caused another driver to swerve.

During an emotional 44-minute interview, Lacy’s attorney Matthew Ory told HTV’s Martin Folse that the video “proves Kyren couldn’t have caused that wreck.” Ory also pointed out body cam footage allegedly showing a state trooper coaching a witness on what to write in their report.

Even more striking, the District Attorney’s own crash report reads:

“The evidence submitted… does not support that Kyren Lacy should have known that his actions were the cause of the crash that happened approximately 72 yards in front of him.”

The January 2025 crash on LA Highway 20 killed Herman Hall, a passenger in one of the vehicles. Police accused Lacy of reckless driving and fleeing the scene, leading to his arrest months later. Tragically, in April 2025 — just days before a grand jury hearing — Lacy died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Following HTV’s explosive report, Louisiana State Police doubled down on their findings, saying their arrest warrant was approved based on available crash evidence and expert reconstruction. They added that Lacy remained innocent until proven guilty.

Now, the release of this new footage has reignited public debate and outrage, with many calling for a full independent review into how the case was handled — and whether the young athlete was wrongly blamed for a tragedy he didn’t cause.
