Serayah is choosing herself and closing the chapter on her relationship with Joey Bada$$. 💔

The actress and singer announced on social media that she has decided to end her engagement and relationship with Joey Bada$$, the father of her child.

In an emotional statement, Serayah said the decision came after “much thought” and described it as difficult, explaining that she deeply loved Joey and believed in the future they were building together.

However, she says she ultimately had to confront what she describes as “repeated infidelity throughout our relationship,” including during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of her life.

Serayah opened her statement with a message about women knowing when it’s time to put themselves first.

She encouraged women to trust their instincts, stand by their values and not allow someone else’s actions to determine their self-worth.

“Love should not require you to abandon yourself.”

The actress made it clear that her decision wasn’t about seeking sympathy or publicly attacking Joey. Instead, she said she wanted to share her experience because she believes too many women are taught to question themselves when something doesn’t feel right.

Despite the end of their romantic relationship, Serayah emphasized that she will always respect the fact that she and Joey share a son.

She said her priority moving forward is protecting their child’s peace, privacy and relationship with both parents.

Because of that, Serayah said she does not plan to publicly discuss the intimate details of their relationship beyond what she has already shared.

She ended her statement on a hopeful note, acknowledging that the relationship didn’t end the way she had prayed it would — but suggesting that this ending could also mark the beginning of a new chapter.
