Claressa Shields Claps Back After Being Asked How Long Are You Willing To Be In A Relationship With Somebody’s (Remy Ma) Husband

Claressa Shields isn’t shying away from questions about her relationship with Papoose.

While appearing on Yung Joc and The Streetz Morning Takeover with Mz Shyneka and Shawty Lo to promote her upcoming fight against Lani Daniels on August 15 in Atlanta, the undisputed boxing champion was asked about her romance with the rapper.

Mz Shyneka didn’t hold back, asking Shields:

“How much longer are you willing to be in a relationship with somebody’s husband?”

Claressa quickly pushed back on the question, making it clear she doesn’t see Papoose as “somebody’s husband.”

“Pause. Papoose filed for divorce because he’s serious about me. So I’m not with somebody’s husband,” Shields responded.

She also argued that the public narrative unfairly focuses on Papoose while overlooking Remy Ma’s own relationship.

“If you’re going to call him her husband, make sure you call her his wife to hold her accountable for what she’s doing in her life because she has a man she’s big about. So don’t make it seem like it’s one-sided. They say that because they want that to be the narrative.”

The relationship between Shields and Papoose has remained a hot topic ever since rumors of their romance surfaced amid reports that Papoose and Remy Ma had separated.

Despite the personal questions, Shields remained focused on promoting her upcoming fight, where she’ll look to add another victory to her already historic boxing career.
