A Michigan woman is facing major backlash online after viral footage showed her throwing a cup of hot coffee at a McDonald’s employee — all because her breakfast order was canceled.

According to witnesses, the heated altercation started when the customer was told her refund might take up to 48 hours to process. That apparently didn’t sit well with her.

In the now-viral clip circulating across social media, the woman can be seen arguing with the cashier before abruptly tossing a full cup of steaming coffee at the worker as she turned to walk away. The drink splashed across the employee’s back, prompting gasps from others inside the restaurant.

Local authorities have since confirmed they’re reviewing the video and investigating the incident. The worker, whose name has not been released, reportedly suffered minor burns but declined to be hospitalized.

Social media users are calling for the woman to be identified and charged, labeling her behavior “disgusting,” “entitled,” and “completely uncalled for.”
