Lauren London Joins Snoop Dogg Biopic, Set to Portray His Mother Beverly Tate in Universal’s ‘Snoop’

Lauren London is stepping into another major film role — and this time, she’ll help tell the story behind one of hip-hop’s most recognizable icons.

London has joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic, Snoop, where she is set to portray the rapper’s late mother, Beverly Tate.

The casting places London at the center of an important part of Snoop Dogg’s story. Tate, who died in 2021, shared a close relationship with her son and remained an influential presence throughout his life as he transformed from a young artist out of Long Beach into an internationally recognized rapper, entrepreneur and entertainment personality.
