Actor and comedian Faizon Love has found himself back in legal trouble after being arrested in Florida on two contempt-of-court charges.

According to booking records, the veteran entertainer was taken into custody Tuesday in Hillsborough County and booked into a Tampa-area jail. Authorities have not released extensive details about the case, but records indicate the charges are connected to an ongoing paternity matter.

A mugshot obtained following the arrest shows the actor with a serious expression as he stared directly into the camera while being processed.

At this time, it remains unclear what specific actions led to the contempt charges or how long Love is expected to remain in custody.

This is not the first time the “Friday” and “The Players Club” star has faced legal issues.

Back in 2017, Love was arrested following an altercation with a valet worker at an airport in Columbus, Ohio. Surveillance footage from the incident showed the actor physically confronting the valet. Love later claimed he reacted after the employee allegedly spit on him.

The case resulted in Love receiving a suspended 180-day jail sentence.

The latest arrest has sparked questions among fans about the status of the paternity case and whether additional legal consequences could follow.

As of publication, Love has not publicly commented on the arrest.
