Faizon Love Facing Felony After Allegedly Clocking Hotel Worker with Credit Card Machine

Actor and comedian Faizon Love is in serious legal trouble after an alleged hotel lobby meltdown in San Diego left an employee injured — and prosecutors are coming at him with felony charges.

The incident reportedly went down in August 2024 at a Mission Valley hotel. According to prosecutors, Faizon arrived to check in for a reservation made through a third-party service, but staff told him the hotel was fully booked. Things allegedly went left fast — prosecutors say Faizon ripped the credit card reader from the counter and hurled it at the receptionist’s head.

The blow allegedly caused a concussion and other injuries. Prosecutors have charged him with felony assault and added an enhancement for great bodily injury — meaning if convicted, the Friday and Couples Retreat star could face up to seven years behind bars.

Faizon hasn’t publicly commented yet, but the case is shaping up to be no laughing matter.
