Boosie Badazz Details $600K Trump Pardon Deal on ’60 Minutes’

Boosie Badazz is taking his alleged $600,000 pardon ordeal to national television, opening up about the money he says he paid to political operatives Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl in hopes of securing a presidential pardon. 

The rapper appeared as part of a 60 Minutes investigation into so-called “pardon brokers”—people who charge large fees while claiming they can help clients pursue clemency. CBS reported that Burkman and Wohl were recorded pitching another potential pardon seeker a $300,000 package. 

Boosie says he paid Burkman and Wohl $600,000 upfront after being led to believe they had significant connections in President Donald Trump’s orbit. According to his lawsuit, he was even allegedly told at one point that Trump had already approved his pardon—but the pardon never came. 

Now Boosie is seeking to recover $300,000, arguing that the agreement called for half of his payment to be returned if the pardon was unsuccessful.

Burkman has disputed Boosie’s version of the agreement, saying the refund provision was never agreed to and maintaining, “We tried very, very hard.” 

CBS’s investigation found that Boosie was not the only person approached about paying substantial sums for help pursuing clemency. The report said some individuals in the pardon-brokering business have sought fees reaching millions of dollars. Burkman and Wohl denied doing anything improper, while CBS reported that the brokers’ activities themselves are not necessarily illegal. 

For Boosie, however, the bottom line remains painfully simple: $600,000 paid, no pardon delivered—and now he wants some of that money back. 💸👀
