🚨 Boosie BadAzz Pleads Guilty To Fed Gun Charges After San Diego Arrest

Boosie BadAzz is facing serious heat in the courtroom. The Louisiana rapper, born Torrence Hatch Jr., has officially pleaded guilty to federal gun charges tied to his 2023 arrest in San Diego.

Boosie, 42, was arrested in May 2023 after cops discovered two loaded handguns inside a vehicle during a traffic stop in San Diego’s Chollas View neighborhood. At the time, Boosie was in the city to shoot a music video and perform at a downtown nightclub in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Court documents reveal officers had spotted Boosie with a gun tucked in his waistband on an Instagram Live while filming. Using that livestream as evidence, police tracked him down from the air with a helicopter before making the arrest.

On Tuesday, Boosie stood before a federal judge and pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. Earlier this month, he hinted at the deal in a social media post, writing:

“Just accepted a plea from the federal government on my gun case. I thought this case was over n I was going to get on with my life but ‘God don’t make mistakes’ n I’m tired of fighting. Talked to my family n this is the right decision. To all my fans across the world say a prayer for ya boy n go get the new album.”

The case has seen plenty of legal twists. Last summer, a federal judge threw out the charges against him after a 9th Circuit Court decision said it was unconstitutional to ban nonviolent felons from owning firearms. But the victory was short-lived — a larger panel of judges later reversed the ruling, bringing the case back to life.

Now, Boosie awaits sentencing, scheduled for November 2025. Until then, he’s reminding fans to keep him in their prayers while continuing to push his music.
