Boosie Badazz Claims He Paid $600K For Trump Pardon That Never Came, Now Wants His Money Back
Boosie Badazz says he may have been left holding the bag after allegedly spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in hopes of securing a presidential pardon from Donald Trump.
According to a bombshell report, the Louisiana rapper, born Torence Hatch, is taking legal action against political operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman, claiming he paid them a staggering $600,000 after they allegedly promised they could help him obtain clemency.
Boosie reportedly believed the duo had strong connections within Trump’s circle and says they portrayed themselves as having direct access to the former president.
Things allegedly took an even stranger turn on New Year’s Day when Boosie’s attorney reportedly received a call claiming Trump had already signed off on the pardon and that an official White House announcement was the only thing left.
However, the pardon never materialized.
Now, Boosie is reportedly seeking to recover at least $300,000, citing an alleged agreement that half of the money would be refunded if the pardon effort failed.
Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman have reportedly denied any refund obligation, arguing that no such provision existed in the agreement. Burkman also claims they worked tirelessly on Boosie’s behalf and suggested the rapper’s legal troubles, including an arrest in Texas earlier this year, complicated his chances of receiving clemency.
Adding another twist to the saga, a White House official reportedly denied that Wohl or Burkman had any involvement whatsoever in the pardon process, allegedly stating that the clemency team had never even heard from the pair and warning that their involvement could actually damage someone’s chances of obtaining a pardon.
Although Boosie never received presidential clemency, he later received a sentence of time served in his federal gun case. The rapper is still reportedly pursuing a separate pardon request directly through official channels.
For now, however, Boosie’s focus appears to be less about a pardon and more about recovering the money he says he paid for one.
