Rapper Boosie Badazz is facing serious legal trouble in Texas after being charged with felony aggravated assault in connection with an alleged altercation at a Houston nightclub.

According to court records, Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch Jr., is accused of striking a security guard in the back of the head with the glass base of a hookah during an incident that allegedly took place on May 24 during Memorial Day weekend.

Authorities say the altercation occurred as a nightclub on Main Street was closing for the night. Investigators claim the situation began when a security guard refused to allow a woman to use the restroom after closing time and began escorting her from the venue.

According to police, the woman dropped some of her belongings while being escorted out. As the security guard bent down to help pick them up, he alleges he was suddenly struck from behind by a glass object.

The victim told police he immediately felt blood running down his face and later observed Boosie allegedly holding a broken glass hookah base. Court documents state the security guard suffered a significant head injury that required eight staples.
