Sha’Carri Richardson Arrested After Heated Airport Fight with Boyfriend Christian Coleman

Olympic sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson had an unexpected hurdle to clear this weekend — and it wasn’t on the track.

On Sunday, Richardson was arrested at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport after an incident involving her boyfriend and fellow sprinter, Christian Coleman.

According to the police report, the couple got into a verbal argument at the TSA security checkpoint. Things allegedly escalated when Richardson was seen shoving Coleman multiple times as he tried to walk away. At one point, she allegedly pushed him hard enough for him to stumble into a nearby column.

Police say surveillance footage also showed Richardson tossing a pair of headphones at Coleman before officers stepped in. She was arrested on a fourth-degree domestic violence assault charge.

By Monday, however, the case was already cleared. Coleman declined to press charges and told authorities he “didn’t want to be a victim” in the matter. Richardson was released without further action.

The sprinter has yet to publicly address the incident — and fans are already debating whether this was just a heated moment gone too far or a sign of deeper trouble.
