Sha’Carri Richardson Seen On Surveillance Video Pushing, Shoving Boyfriend At Airport

Newly released surveillance footage from TMZ Sports shows Olympic gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson in a heated altercation with her boyfriend, track star Christian Coleman, at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on July 27.

The video shows Richardson grabbing Coleman’s backpack, getting in his face, and shoving him into a wall. When Coleman tries to walk away, Richardson follows, shoving him again and later appearing to throw an item at his head near a security checkpoint.

According to police documents, Richardson told officers the dispute began because Coleman took her electronic headphones. She denied assaulting him, claiming it was only a verbal argument — but after reviewing the footage, officers arrested her for fourth-degree assault. She spent roughly 18 hours in jail before being released.

Despite the viral nature of the incident, Coleman publicly defended Richardson on Monday:

“It was a sucky situation all around. I don’t feel like she should have been arrested. People have emotions and stuff like that, and she has things she gotta work on for herself. So do I, so do you.”
