🎶🚔 Man Accused of Stealing Unreleased Beyoncé Music Headed to Trial — Faces 6 Years Over “Cowboy Carter” Tour Theft

The man accused of stealing unreleased music and sensitive tour materials connected to Beyoncé is officially headed to trial after reportedly turning down a plea deal.

According to court updates, Kelvin Evans will face both felony and misdemeanor charges related to a 2025 break-in that allegedly targeted members of Beyoncé’s touring team during her Cowboy Carter stop in Atlanta. Prosecutors say that because of his criminal history, Evans could face up to six years behind bars if convicted.

The case centers around a July 2025 incident inside a parking garage near Krog Street, where two suitcases were reportedly stolen from a parked Jeep Wagoneer belonging to members of Beyoncé’s creative crew. Investigators say the vehicle’s rear window had been smashed, suggesting someone forcibly entered the secured garage area.

Inside the stolen luggage were reportedly flash drives containing unreleased and watermarked Beyoncé music, along with tour set lists, production plans, laptops, and personal electronics. Authorities say some of the missing digital materials still haven’t been recovered.

The items belonged to members of Beyoncé’s production team, including a choreographer and dancer working on the Cowboy Carter tour. Surveillance footage allegedly linked the theft to a 2025 Hyundai Elantra with Georgia plates, while witness statements reportedly placed Evans near the scene handling multiple black bags taken from the vehicle.

Investigators also claim Evans was later seen leaving the area on a bicycle after the stolen property was transferred.

Evans was eventually arrested in September 2025 in Hapeville on a parole violation before later being charged in connection to the break-in. Court records reportedly show a lengthy criminal history dating back more than 20 years, including convictions involving robbery, assault, and vehicle theft.

Now, with jury selection expected to begin next week, the case is moving into its next major phase — and fans are still wondering whether Beyoncé’s unreleased music will ever fully resurface.
