Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean to Headline 2026 Global Citizen Festival in New York City

Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean are bringing another major musical moment to New York City.

The Fugees bandmates are set to headline the 2026 Global Citizen Festival, taking over Central Park’s Great Lawn on September 26 as they continue celebrating the 30th anniversary of the group’s landmark album, The Score.

Hill and Jean will be joined by a genre-spanning lineup that includes Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Actor Hugh Jackman will return as host, with appearances from Rachel Brosnahan and Gayle King and additional guests expected to be announced.

The upcoming performance arrives during a renewed chapter for Hill and Jean. Three decades after The Score helped reshape the sound of hip-hop and R&B, the two artists continue to bring the Fugees’ catalog to audiences around the world while introducing the music to another generation.

Beyond the performances, Global Citizen Festival continues its larger mission of using music and culture to drive action against extreme poverty. This year’s campaign focuses on expanding access to education, supporting farmers and increasing access to electricity for communities around the world.

For New York, however, September 26 will also represent something special: two architects of one of hip-hop’s most influential eras returning to Central Park to celebrate a body of work that remains culturally relevant 30 years later.
