Trouble is mounting for boxing star Gervonta “Tank” Davis as law enforcement agencies are actively searching for him following a serious alleged domestic violence incident in Miami.

The Miami Gardens Police Department, alongside the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, confirmed they are seeking the Baltimore native after an arrest warrant was issued stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred in October. Authorities say Davis is wanted on charges including attempted kidnapping, battery, and false imprisonment.

According to Emmanuel Jeanty, executive officer of the Miami Gardens Police Department, investigators determined Davis allegedly used force to restrain and attempt to remove the victim from a location against her will. Police say the victim was only able to escape when Davis released her to retrieve his vehicle.

The alleged incident took place around 4:15 a.m. on Oct. 27 at Tootsie’s Cabaret, a well-known gentlemen’s club in Miami. Courtney Rossel, a VIP cocktail waitress at the club and Davis’ ex-girlfriend, accused the boxer of choking, dragging, and striking her during the encounter.

In the arrest warrant, police allege Davis grabbed Rossel by her hair and pushed her toward a back stairway, stating she was leaving with him regardless of her objections. Sgt. Gary Florencio noted that surveillance footage reviewed by investigators corroborated key aspects of Rossel’s account.

Witnesses interviewed by police offered differing perspectives. One man said he observed Davis and Rossel exiting the club but did not see physical violence. Another woman told police she witnessed Davis grab Rossel by the hair in the second-floor VIP area and force her to walk with him.

Police records also reference additional allegations from Rossel, who claimed Davis previously grabbed her by the neck at another Miami venue. According to reports, Rossel and Davis had dated for five months before ending their relationship roughly a month prior to the incident. Rossel told police she had blocked Davis on all platforms, alleging he confronted her that night saying, “You think that I would not find you?”

Authorities stated the victim suffered minor injuries and sought medical attention. Rossel’s civil lawsuit accuses Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and kidnapping. The suit also details other alleged violent encounters during their relationship.

Davis has faced similar accusations in the past, including an incident involving another ex-girlfriend on Father’s Day, though Florida prosecutors declined to file charges in that case.

Following the filing of Rossel’s lawsuit, Davis’ highly anticipated boxing match with Jake Paul—scheduled for Nov. 14 in Miami—was officially canceled.
