Cassie Fires Back At Male Sex Worker’s Lawsuit, Says He Supported Her Abuse Claims Before She Got $20 Million Settlement

Cassie is pushing back hard against allegations made by former model Edmond Laurent, arguing that his lawsuit against her should be dismissed entirely.

According to newly filed court documents, Cassie claims Laurent originally expressed support for her after she publicly accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of years of abuse. She says that following her 2023 lawsuit against Diddy, Laurent reached out with a text message offering sympathy and even volunteered to testify on her behalf.

The singer alleges that Laurent’s stance changed only after news broke that she had settled her lawsuit against Diddy for $20 million.

In the filing, Cassie describes Laurent’s lawsuit as “baseless and harassing,” arguing that it unfairly attempts to portray an alleged victim as an abuser. Her legal team contends that allowing such claims to proceed could discourage legitimate victims from coming forward in future abuse cases.

Laurent previously filed a lawsuit claiming he was sexually assaulted and drugged during encounters involving both Cassie and Diddy. He alleged that substances including Rohypnol and ketamine were secretly placed in a drink, leaving him unable to consent.

However, Cassie’s attorneys argue that Laurent’s own complaint acknowledges she was allegedly under the influence and incapacitated during many of the encounters in question. They maintain that evidence presented in multiple cases suggests Diddy controlled and directed the situations, not Cassie.

Cassie has never denied participating in what have been described as “freak-offs,” but she has consistently maintained that she was coerced and victimized throughout the relationship.

The latest legal filing adds another layer to the growing web of lawsuits and allegations surrounding Diddy, whose legal troubles continue to dominate headlines.

A judge has not yet ruled on Cassie’s request to dismiss Laurent’s claims.
