Diddy Files $100 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against NBCUniversal and Ample Over ‘Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy’ Documentary

Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit against NBCUniversal and production company Ample over claims made in the documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy. The mogul’s legal team argues that the film falsely accuses him of committing heinous crimes, including serial murder, rape of minors, and sex trafficking.
According to a lawsuit obtained by PageSix, Diddy’s lawyers argue that the documentary takes a “crudely psychologized” approach, falsely implicating him in the death of his ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter. The suit highlights that Porter’s cause of death was officially ruled as pneumonia, despite the documentary’s insinuations that Diddy was involved in her passing.
Additionally, the suit points to other damaging claims, including allegations made by musician Al B. Sure, connecting Diddy’s alleged health issues to the mogul’s actions.
Combs’ legal team accuses NBCUniversal of “grossly exploiting the trust of their audience” and “recklessly broadcasting outrageous lies” in their race to create the most sensational exposé. Neither NBCUniversal nor Ample have responded to the lawsuit at this time.
