Tory Lanez & Wife’s Divorce Case Dismissed After Court Says Filing Stalled

Tory Lanez and his wife, Raina Chassagne, are no longer headed toward divorce—at least for now.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a Los Angeles judge has dismissed the couple’s divorce case after determining there had been little to no progress toward reaching a final judgment since the petition was originally filed.

Raina filed for divorce in June 2024, less than a year after the couple tied the knot, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending the marriage.

At the time, she requested legal and physical custody of their son, Kai, as Tory was already serving his 10-year prison sentence following his conviction in the shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Despite filing for divorce, Raina has continued to support Tory throughout his incarceration. She has taken their son to visit him in prison and even shared a heartfelt Father’s Day tribute last year featuring throwback photos of Tory and Kai.

The dismissal does not necessarily mean the couple has reconciled. Instead, it indicates the court closed the case because it had not moved forward procedurally. If either party chooses to pursue a divorce in the future, a new filing may be required.

For now, the divorce proceedings have officially come to a halt while Tory remains behind bars serving his sentence.
