🚨 Tory Lanez Runs Out of Legal Options — California Supreme Court Rejects Final Appeal, 10-Year Sentence Stands

It looks like the legal battle is officially over for Tory Lanez.

California’s highest court has rejected the rapper’s final appeal, meaning his 10-year prison sentence will remain fully intact with no further review from the state court system.

According to court updates confirmed by reporter Meghan Cuniff, the California Supreme Court declined to hear Lanez’s case, leaving untouched a previous ruling from the state’s 2nd District Court of Appeal that upheld his conviction.

Lanez — born Daystar Peterson — was found guilty by a Los Angeles jury in December 2022 on three felony charges, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

The conviction stems from the July 2020 shooting involving rapper Megan Thee Stallion following an argument after a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home.

During trial testimony, Megan told jurors she had “no doubt” Lanez shot her in the feet and claimed he offered her $1 million to remain silent after the incident. She also explained that she initially withheld details from police because she didn’t want to be labeled a snitch but later spoke publicly after doubts about her injuries circulated online.

In a 46-page opinion, appellate judges ruled there was “more than sufficient” evidence supporting the jury’s decision that Peterson personally caused great bodily injury.

Prosecutors previously argued the shooting was fueled by ego and misogyny, while Lanez’s defense team maintained alcohol and poor judgment — not intent to kill — played a role in the incident.

With the California Supreme Court refusing review, Lanez’s conviction and sentence now stand as final under state law, closing one of hip-hop’s most controversial legal cases in recent years.
