Detroit Cop Shows Up Pantsless to Virtual Court Hearing — Judge & Viewers Left Shocked! 😳👮🏾‍♂️💻

A Michigan judge was left completely speechless after a Detroit police officer logged into a Zoom court hearing with no pants on — yes, you read that right!

According to local outlets WXYZ and WDIV, the wild moment went down Monday during a 36th District Court hearing for a reckless driving and public intoxication case. Officer Matthew Jackson appeared virtually to testify — wearing his full police uniform… except for pants. 😬

Court video shows Jackson sitting calmly in his police shirt and badge — but bare-legged from the waist down, sporting only underwear. Judge Sean Perkins quickly noticed and asked, “You got some pants on, officer?”

Jackson casually replied, “No, sir,” before shifting his camera upward to crop out the wardrobe malfunction. 😭

Despite the awkward start, the judge decided to continue the hearing. Perkins later told reporters he was shocked but said Jackson is usually “very professional and courteous,” so he let the show go on.

The Detroit Police Department has launched an internal investigation and says they’ll be reminding officers about proper courtroom etiquette — especially when appearing on camera.

For the record, the court’s official dress code calls for “casual business attire” and strictly prohibits “shorts or other clothing not suitable for a professional environment.” Clearly, somebody missed that memo!

Social media, of course, went crazy — with memes flooding the internet:

“Not Officer No Pants reporting for duty 😭💀”

“Detroit PD out here serving and exposing.”

“At least he was honest when the judge asked!”

Looks like even in 2025, the biggest courtroom drama can still come from Zoom.
