Claressa Shields is doubling down and defending her name after getting dragged online and banned from future MVP events over her backstage altercation with Alycia Baumgardner.

The boxing superstar finally broke her silence after footage from MVP MMA 1 inside the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California went viral Saturday night, showing Shields slapping Baumgardner’s hand away during a tense confrontation backstage.

The incident instantly sparked debate across social media, with critics accusing Claressa of going too far while supporters argued there was more to the story than the short viral clips floating around online.

Now Claressa is making it crystal clear that she feels the public only saw ONE side of what happened.

The undefeated champ posted a new video showing a closer angle of the confrontation along with a lengthy statement defending herself and warning people against spreading “false narratives” about her character.

“I do not condone violence. I never have,” Claressa wrote.

“But I am also not someone who will stand in silence while continuously being verbally attacked, threatened, discriminated against or assassinate my character.”

Shields also addressed online conversations suggesting the issue involved jealousy or colorism, shutting those rumors down completely.

“Nor will I allow the reality of disrespect turn into a narrative or talking point about colorism or envy,” she added.

The boxer claimed there is a “documented history” of threats and disrespect from Alycia Baumgardner leading up to the confrontation and said people are confusing aggression with self-protection.

“There is a difference between aggression and protection,” she wrote.

Claressa also reminded fans of everything she has accomplished in women’s boxing, saying she’s worked too hard to allow anyone to rewrite her story or damage her legacy.

“I stand on integrity. I stand on what I’ve built. I’m a champion,” she said.

The situation escalated after Most Valuable Promotions announced Claressa was banned from all MVP events “until further notice,” citing the company’s zero-tolerance policy regarding physical altercations outside the ring.

Meanwhile, Alycia Baumgardner has previously stated she plans to handle the matter “legally and professionally.”

As the drama continues trending online, fans remain divided over whether Claressa’s response clears things up or adds even more fuel to the rivalry between the two boxing stars.

One thing is certain — this beef is FAR from over.
