The Philadelphia rapper has released “Nightmares to Dreams,” a powerful sequel to his legendary 2012 intro “Dreams and Nightmares.” Released independently through his Dream Chasers imprint on July 31, the record reimagines one of hip-hop’s most celebrated anthems while showcasing Meek’s growth over the years.

Instead of following the original’s uplifting-to-aggressive format, “Nightmares to Dreams” flips the script by opening with the gritty, hard-hitting energy before transitioning into a more reflective and triumphant sound. The track captures the hunger and determination that first made Meek a rap superstar while highlighting how far he’s come.

On Monday, Meek kept the momentum rolling by releasing the official music video, giving fans a cinematic visual to match the emotional record.

The release marks Meek’s first solo record since “Survivor’s Guilt” featuring G Herbo last year. Before that, he dropped the 2024 mixtape Heathenism and teamed up with Rick Ross for the collaborative album Too Good to Be True in 2023.

It’s also Meek’s first major step toward new music since Expensive Pain, his last studio album released nearly five years ago. The latest release has fans believing the Dream Chasers boss is officially entering a new chapter.
