⚖️👀 Will Smith Scores Court Win After Judge Tosses Sexual Harassment Lawsuit From Former Violinist
I Will Smith just picked up a major legal victory after a California judge dismissed a sexual harassment and wrongful termination lawsuit brought against him by a former touring violinist.
According to court records, the lawsuit was filed by Brian King Joseph, who previously performed on tour with the Oscar-winning actor. Joseph accused Smith and members of his team of harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination following an alleged incident during the tour.
But after reviewing the claims, the judge ruled that the allegations did not legally meet the threshold required for a sexual harassment case. Specifically, the court reportedly found the conduct described in the complaint was not “sufficiently severe or pervasive” under California law.
At the center of the lawsuit was a strange alleged hotel room incident. Joseph claimed he returned to his room and discovered someone had entered without permission, leaving behind personal belongings and a note reading, “Brian, I’ll be back … just us,” allegedly signed by someone identified as “Stone F.”
The lawsuit also claimed items such as a beer bottle, backpack, earring, hospital paperwork, and HIV medication were left inside the room.
Joseph argued that after reporting the situation to hotel management, he faced retaliation and eventually lost his position on the tour. However, the judge reportedly pointed out major gaps in the complaint, including a lack of direct evidence tying Smith or his management team to the alleged room entry.
The ruling also noted that Joseph’s hotel room key may have been compromised after his bag was reportedly left unattended in a van shared by multiple crew members before being returned to him.
Throughout the legal battle, Smith’s attorney, Allen B. Grodsky, strongly denied all allegations against the actor, calling the claims false and reckless.
Even though the case was dismissed, the situation may not be fully over. The judge reportedly gave Joseph the option to amend and refile the complaint if he can provide additional factual details that strengthen the claims.
For now though, the ruling marks a significant courtroom win for Will Smith as he continues rebuilding his public image following years of intense media scrutiny.
