Brenda & Cindy Are Back! Regina Hall & Anna Faris Reuniting with Wayans Bros for New Scary Movie

Horror-comedy fans, get ready — the queens of spoof, Regina Hall and Anna Faris, are stepping back into their iconic Scary Movie roles as Brenda and Cindy. And this time, it’s a Wayans Brothers reunion!

Hall and Faris will be teaming up once again with Keenen, Shawn, and Marlon Wayans for a fresh restart of the early 2000s comedy franchise. In a joint statement, the actresses joked,

“We can’t wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life and be reunited with our great friends Keenen, Shawn and Marlon — three men we’d literally die for (in Brenda’s case, again).”

The new installment marks the first time in 18 years the Wayans brothers will all work together on Scary Movie. They’re co-writing an all-new original script alongside Rick Alvarez, with Miramax producing under its first-look deal with Paramount.

Filming kicks off in October 2025, with the movie set for a global theatrical release on June 12, 2026.

Looks like Brenda and Cindy’s outrageous survival skills are about to be tested all over again.
