Smokey Robinson ‘Appalled’ by Sexual Assault Allegations, Denies Claims Through Attorney

Legendary Motown singer Smokey Robinson has strongly denied allegations that he sexually assaulted four former housekeepers at his California home. The 85-year-old artist said he is “appalled” by the accusations, which surfaced this week in a new civil complaint.

Robinson’s attorney, Christopher Frost, issued a forceful rebuttal, describing the claims as “vile” and “false.” In a statement, Frost said, “The evidence will show that this is simply an ugly method of trying to extract money from an 85-year-old American icon.”

The legal team also criticized a recent press conference held by the plaintiffs, calling it “bizarre theatrics” and “an attempt to enlist the public as an unwitting participant in the media circus they are trying to create.”

Frost emphasized that the defense would challenge “numerous aspects of the complaint that defy credulity,” including “issues relating to purported timelines, inconsistencies, and relationships between the plaintiffs and others.”

Robinson and his legal team are urging the public to withhold judgment until the full facts of the case are brought to light. “We ask anyone following this case to reserve judgment as the evidence comes to light,” Frost concluded.
