Robbie Pardlo, the soulful voice behind the Grammy-nominated R&B group City High, has tragically passed away at the age of 46. A representative for the singer confirmed the news to TMZ, revealing that Robbie died on July 17 in his hometown of Willingboro, New Jersey, surrounded by close friends and family.

While a cause of death has not yet been determined, those closest to the late artist are currently grieving and plan to announce memorial and tribute details in the coming days.

Robbie rose to prominence in the early 2000s as one-third of City High, alongside Claudette Ortiz and Ryan Toby. The trio made a lasting impact on the R&B and hip-hop scenes with their Wyclef Jean-produced anthem “What Would You Do?” — a powerful track that earned them a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group in 2002. Their follow-up single, “Caramel,” featuring rapper Eve, further cemented their place in the genre’s history.

Following his time with City High, Robbie continued his musical journey as a member of the R&B quartet First Take and worked with legendary artists such as Whitney Houston and Lil’ Kim, showcasing his range and talent beyond the group dynamic.

Outside of music, Robbie was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan and had the joy of watching his team achieve championship success earlier this year.
