Judge Orders Stefon Diggs’ Accuser To Turn Over DMs, Texts & Travel Records In Ongoing Legal Battle

The legal battle between NFL star Stefon Diggs and the man accusing him of sexual assault has taken another turn.

According to newly obtained court documents, a judge has ordered Christopher Griffith, the man accusing Diggs of sexually assaulting him in 2023, to produce key evidence as the case moves forward.

The court ordered Griffith to turn over his complete Instagram direct message history with Diggs within 14 days.

In addition to the DMs, Griffith must also provide all documents related to his travel to and from Maryland during the weekend of May 20-23, 2023—the timeframe in which he alleges the assault occurred.

The requested records include flight information, hotel reservations, luggage documentation and ride-share receipts.

The judge also ordered Griffith to produce text message exchanges between himself and Diggs, as well as any communications he had with others regarding the NFL star.

While Diggs’ legal team sought sanctions against Griffith, the judge denied that request.

The ruling comes amid a complex legal dispute that began after Diggs filed a defamation lawsuit against Griffith, claiming the sexual assault allegations damaged his reputation and caused significant harm.

Griffith later filed a countersuit, alleging he was drugged and sexually assaulted inside Diggs’ Maryland home. He claims Diggs exposed himself and invited him into a bedroom, an invitation Griffith says he refused.

In his court filings, Griffith also alleges that approximately a week after the alleged assault, Diggs’ brother and others physically attacked him in an effort to intimidate him into remaining silent.

Diggs has denied the allegations against him, and the claims remain contested in court.

The case is ongoing, and no findings have been made regarding the merits of either side’s allegations.
