It looks like Derek Fisher and Gloria Govan are taking time apart.

The former NBA champion and the Basketball Wives star have reportedly separated after several years of marriage, though the two are not currently planning to file for divorce.

According to a representative for the couple, Fisher and Govan have been living separate lives while working through personal issues. Despite the separation, they remain in regular communication and are focused on the family they’ve built together.

Sources say the couple is hoping to resolve their differences and has not taken legal steps to end the marriage.

Fisher and Govan officially tied the knot in July 2021 during a picturesque ceremony at Cielo Farms in Malibu after postponing their original 2020 wedding because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their relationship began in 2015 and quickly became one of the most talked-about romances in the basketball world. In 2018, Fisher proposed to Govan in a heartfelt moment surrounded by their children.

The couple’s relationship drew significant attention over the years due to Govan’s previous marriage to former NBA star Matt Barnes. Govan and Barnes share twin sons, while Fisher has four children from his previous marriage to Candace Fisher.
