Derek Fisher Officially Charged with DUI, Faces 6 Months in Jail if Convicted
On June 4th Derek Fisher and girlfriend Gloria Govan got into a car accident when they were returning home at 3 am after their date night. The Cadillac Escalade Fisher was driving slammed into a guardrail and flipped over. Gloria or Fisher was not hurt during the accident. However, when authorities arrived to the scene they noticed Fisher was intoxicated and arrested him for driving where under the influence of alcohol.
He was formally charged in connection with the accident but now this week the charges are official. Fisher has been hit with 2 counts of DUI and he faces 6 months in jail if convicted. Adding to the mess is that the SUV that was totaled was given to Gloria Govan by her ex-husband Matt Barnes.
