DDG Files Emergency Motion to Block Halle Bailey From Taking Son to Italy, Claims She Poses “Imminent Emotional and Psychological Risk”

Rapper DDG has filed an emergency motion in court to prevent actress and singer Halle Bailey from traveling overseas with their infant son, Halo. According to legal documents submitted Wednesday morning, DDG is asking a judge to stop Bailey from flying to Italy this weekend, citing concerns over her mental health and alleging she poses an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to their child.

In the court filing, DDG—real name Darryl Granberry—claims Bailey has plans to leave the country on Saturday. He argues that the trip would take Halo out of the court’s jurisdiction and raises serious concerns about Bailey’s emotional state and ability to care for their child during international travel.

DDG outlined multiple incidents he says point to erratic and concerning behavior. One of the more serious allegations involves a moment during Bailey’s pregnancy when she allegedly took DDG’s firearm without informing him of her whereabouts. He says he later found her outside holding the weapon.

Additionally, he accuses her of nearly having an abortion without his knowledge but claims she ultimately changed her mind and carried the pregnancy to term.

The most alarming allegation involves a string of messages DDG claims Bailey sent two months after Halo was born—texts that he says included suicidal threats and allusions to possibly harming their child.

This legal move comes amid ongoing tensions between the two. Bailey has previously accused DDG of abusive behavior, including an incident in which she alleges he slammed her head into a steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth. DDG, however, disputes her version of events and claims he was the one assaulted during that altercation.

According to DDG, Bailey jumped into his backseat during a custodial exchange, demanding they immediately work out a co-parenting arrangement. He alleges she began hitting him, then accidentally hit her head on the steering wheel during the chaos. He’s submitted photos of a hand injury he says she caused.

In light of these issues, DDG is asking the judge for one of two outcomes: sole legal and physical custody of Halo, or—if joint custody remains in place—he wants all exchanges of the child to be managed by a neutral third party to prevent further conflict.

As of now, Halle Bailey has not publicly responded to DDG’s motion. The court has not yet ruled on the emergency hearing request.
