DDG’s Paralegal Refutes Reports of TRO Denial as Halle Bailey Fires Back in Court Over Mental Health Claims

DDG’s legal team is pushing back against recent media reports suggesting that his request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) against Halle Bailey was denied. His paralegal, Krystal Haddadin, issued a strong statement to XXL, disputing TMZ’s coverage and reiterating that the court did grant a TRO based on serious allegations presented in DDG’s original filing.

“We are aware of inaccurate media reports suggesting that Mr. Granberry was denied a restraining order against Ms. Halle Bailey. This is categorically false,” Haddadin stated.

She emphasized that the TRO was issued due to “sufficient cause to provide immediate legal protection while the matter proceeds.” She also confirmed that custody-related issues are still pending and will be addressed in a full evidentiary hearing.

Meanwhile, Halle Bailey has broken her silence, firmly denying DDG’s claims that her past mental health struggles pose a risk to their child, Halo.

In court documents obtained by Billboard, Bailey described DDG’s allegations as exaggerated and misleading:

“He exaggerated, lied, and misconstrued for the court, not only the history of our relationship but our parenting and my mental health,” she wrote.

Bailey acknowledged past struggles with anxiety and depression, including suicidal thoughts, but stated she had sought treatment and remains fully capable as a parent.

“I have been and remain 100% available and capable as a parent to our son, Halo.”

She also pointed out that the majority of the incidents cited by DDG took place in 2022 and 2023, during a period when she says she was “emotionally devastated” by his behavior.

In her declaration, Bailey accused DDG of using the legal system as a form of retaliation:

“Had Darryl really been concerned about my parenting, he would have taken action prior to this time. This is cold retribution to embarrass, humiliate and cause me additional emotional distress.”

With conflicting accounts and ongoing custody battles, the next step in the case will be a full hearing where both sides are expected to present more detailed evidence.
