Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty to Bottle Attack in London Nightclub

Grammy-winning artist Chris Brown pleaded not guilty Friday to a serious assault charge stemming from a 2023 nightclub incident in London.

Brown, 36, appeared at Southwark Crown Court alongside fellow musician Omololu Akinlolu, 38—also known as “Hoody Baby”—where both denied a single count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Prosecutors allege the two assaulted music producer Abe Diaw inside the Tape nightclub in Mayfair in February 2023. Brown is accused of launching an unprovoked attack, striking Diaw with a bottle before punching and kicking him.

The alleged assault, which reportedly occurred in front of witnesses, was captured on surveillance footage, according to prosecutors.
