Chingy Claps Back At ‘Zesty’ Comments After Debuting Bald Head: “Taking Care Of Yourself Doesn’t Make You Less Of A Man”

Chingy is setting the record straight after social media users flooded his comments with jokes and accusations following the debut of his new bald look.

The St. Louis rapper recently unveiled his shaved head on social media, but instead of just talking about the fresh cut, many commenters began questioning his appearance. Some critics labeled him “zesty” while others speculated about his grooming habits, suggesting he gets his eyebrows arched or even wears eyelashes.

Not one to let the rumors slide, Chingy hopped online to address the chatter directly.

According to the rapper, some people — particularly women in his comment section — have a habit of assuming that men who take care of themselves must be gay.

Chingy explained that maintaining clear skin, grooming, exercising, and prioritizing overall wellness shouldn’t be viewed as something unusual for men.

In a lengthy message posted alongside a video response, he wrote:

“Taking care of yourself doesn’t make you less of a man. Having clear skin, grooming yourself, staying healthy, exercising, meditating, and presenting yourself well should be normal.”

The rapper went on to say that discipline, confidence, and self-respect are strengths, not weaknesses.

Addressing speculation about his appearance, Chingy denied rumors that he wears lashes or undergoes cosmetic grooming procedures, saying much of what people notice is simply the result of good genetics.

He also touched on the false narratives he’s faced throughout his career, explaining that people often create stories when they don’t understand someone.

“I’ve spent years dealing with false narratives, and one thing I’ve learned is that the truth doesn’t need constant defense—it simply remains the truth.”

At 46 years old, Chingy says he’s focused on his health, peace of mind, music, and personal growth. As for the bald look? He’s embracing it fully.

“The bald look is here. The confidence is here. The peace is here.”

The rapper ended his message by encouraging people to focus on their own purpose and well-being instead of worrying about what others think.

Looks like Chingy is unbothered and standing firmly behind his new look.
