Sidney Starr Denied Bond In Georgia Child Molestation Case

Sidney Starr will remain behind bars after a Georgia judge denied bond in the serious criminal case against the former Love & Hip Hop personality.

Starr is facing charges including aggravated child molestation, sodomy and sexual battery against a child under 16. Prosecutors had recommended that she be held without bond.

During the bond hearing, the alleged victim’s mother reportedly asked the judge not to release Starr, saying her son needs “intensive therapy” to deal with the alleged abuse.

She described the alleged incident as a traumatic experience that has affected her family’s sense of safety and normalcy.

The allegations remain just that — allegations — and Starr is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Starr’s defense reportedly argued that she should be granted bond, pointing to her ties to Georgia and what they described as her good nature.

An investigator also discussed the allegations during the hearing, saying Starr told Hapeville detectives she had sexual contact with someone she referred to as “Larry.”

According to the investigator, “Larry” is a minor who later identified Starr.

The investigator reportedly said Starr told police the male entered an elevator with her at an Embassy Suites hotel and eventually went to her room after allegedly telling her that he was 18.

Despite acknowledging that Starr has no prior criminal history, the judge ultimately denied bond.

That means Starr will remain in custody as the criminal case moves forward.
