Fans Storm Gates At JAY-Z’s Final Yankee Stadium Show, Security Breach Causes Massive Lockdown & Delays Concert Until After Midnight

What was supposed to be a historic final night for JAY-Z’s three-night celebration at Yankee Stadium turned into complete chaos after a major security breach caused a lockdown and delayed the concert for hours.

Thousands of fans were left stranded outside the stadium Sunday night after a large crowd reportedly rushed through security checkpoints. According to police sources, a group of concertgoers allegedly broke through the gates, forcing officials to temporarily shut down all entrances and exits.

Fans described the scene as confusing and frustrating as people scrambled to gain entry.

Rosalynn Glover, who traveled from Atlanta to attend the show, said the situation quickly spiraled out of control.

“We got here a little after 8, went to Gate 2, they bum rushed Gate 2. People went past security, were not checked and got into the stadium,” she explained. “They closed down Gate 2, we went to Gate 4, same thing happened.”

Glover also expressed frustration with stadium staff, claiming some employees appeared to laugh at upset fans during the ordeal.

The concert was originally scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., but gates did not reopen until shortly before 10 p.m. as police increased security measures and monitored each entrance.

Despite the delay, JAY-Z eventually took the stage around 12:15 a.m., bringing the marathon night to an end and ensuring fans still got to witness the final chapter of his historic Yankee Stadium run.

The incident has sparked debate online, with many fans criticizing security procedures and demanding answers regarding how so many people were allegedly able to bypass checkpoints.
