Judge Denies DDG’s Emergency Restraining Order Against Halle Bailey — Singer Cleared to Travel Abroad With Son
A Los Angeles judge has officially denied rapper DDG’s emergency request for a temporary restraining order to block Halle Bailey from taking their infant son out of the country, allowing the singer and actress to travel freely for business or personal reasons.
The ruling comes after Halle Bailey filed legal documents opposing DDG’s motion and requesting the court’s permission to travel internationally with their child to fulfill professional obligations.
In her filing, Bailey also made a separate request for a protective order aimed at DDG, his family, and his associates—urging the court to prohibit them from publicly discussing their son, the ongoing legal proceedings, or Halle herself on social media and other platforms.
Bailey’s legal team highlighted that DDG filed his motion last-minute on June 4, despite knowing about her upcoming international travel plans well in advance. According to her court documents, Halle had made multiple attempts to facilitate monitored visitation between DDG and their son since the issuance of a temporary restraining order on May 13, 2025—but says her efforts were ignored by both DDG and his attorneys.
The judge’s decision effectively clears the path for Halle to continue her work commitments outside the U.S. with her son and sets the stage for a more complex custody battle as the former couple continues to navigate co-parenting under the scrutiny of the public eye.
