Jeannie Mai Calls Police After Being Denied Access to Personal Items at Ex-Husband Jeezy’s Home

Jeannie Mai’s attempt to collect personal belongings from her ex-husband Jeezy’s Georgia home turned into a dramatic ordeal, with the TV personality calling the police after being denied access to her items, which included valuable trophies, photos, and handbags.
According to In Touch Weekly, The situation unfolded in December 2024, following the couple’s divorce settlement in June 2024. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Jeannie, 46, had been granted permission to retrieve her property within 21 days, as outlined by the judge. However, her ex-husband, rapper Jeezy (real name Jay Jenkins), raised concerns about security and refused her entry on the scheduled date, despite previously agreeing to her visit.
Jeannie’s legal team claimed she had informed Jeezy of her visit on December 9, 2024, but when she arrived with movers to retrieve her belongings, the house manager—acting on Jeezy’s orders—blocked her access to the garage where her items were stored. The situation escalated when Jeannie, unable to gain entry, called the Atlanta Police to report the violation of the court order.
Upon the police’s intervention, Jeezy’s team reportedly shifted tactics, demanding that anyone entering sign a nondisclosure agreement, despite there being no such condition in the court order. When Jeannie was finally allowed inside, she found her items in disarray. Personal belongings, including her Emmy and other awards, were damaged, with boxes soaked through and some items destroyed by mice.
Jeannie’s lawyer characterized the actions of Jeezy and his team as a deliberate attempt to evade the court’s directive and create unnecessary conflict. They emphasized that Jeannie had no intention of invading Jeezy’s privacy and was simply trying to retrieve her belongings.
While Jeezy’s legal team had initially argued that his concerns were rooted in safety, claiming Jeannie’s past actions threatened his privacy, Jeannie’s lawyers fired back, stating that it was, in fact, Jeezy who appeared to be acting out of revenge. A judge has yet to make a ruling on the matter, leaving the former couple’s ongoing legal battle unresolved.
