Jim Jones Gushes Over How He Met Longtime Girlfriend Chrissy Lampkin

Nearly two decades after first crossing paths, Jim Jones is still head over heels for Chrissy Lampkin. During a recent appearance on the 90s Baby Show podcast, the rapper and Dipset vet opened up about his deep admiration for Lampkin, recalling their initial meeting and how his feelings for her have never wavered.

Jones shared that his admiration for Chrissy began long before they actually met. “I had a crush on Chrissy,” he confessed. “Chrissy’s probably one of the flyest, baddest, dopest chicks from Harlem.” The two were first introduced in the vibrant heart of Harlem at Mart 125, a historic marketplace located near the legendary Apollo Theater. Jim arrived with Mase that day, and even then, he couldn’t help but be drawn to Chrissy’s undeniable presence.

It wasn’t until 2004, at a Miami beach club, that their paths crossed again—and this time, it was Chrissy who made the first move. Jones fondly recalled how Lampkin approached him with confidence, saying something that caught him off guard. “She ran down on [me] and said some funny sh*t,” Jim laughed. “I was like, wow, this is crazy. In my mind, I was like, ‘Wow, I’m nervous.’ Like I’m trying to find my cool. At that moment, I felt like all my cool was out the window.”

Despite his initial nervousness, Jones was clearly smitten. The host of the podcast even pointed out that, as he reminisced, the rapper appeared to still blush when speaking of Lampkin—a clear sign of how deeply he feels for her even after all these years.
