Young Thug Finally Speaks on Gay Rumors & Why He Wore Dresses

Young Thug is finally clearing the air about years of whispers surrounding his sexuality and his iconic fashion choices. During his sit-down on The Pivot Podcast, the Atlanta rapper addressed the rumors head-on and made it clear where he stands.

“I don’t got no problem with the [LGBTQ] community,” Thug said. “I ain’t got no problem with the alphabets at all. I’m straight woman… Ain’t nothin’ going on with no man.”

For years, Thug has been at the center of conversations about blurred gender norms in hip hop, especially after wearing dresses in photo shoots and performances. But the Slime Season star says his choices weren’t about sexuality — they were about making statements and pushing culture forward.

“I let the world impact certain things about me, like wearing dresses, in order to be more understood,” he admitted.

Thug also revealed that his bold fashion risks set the stage for the new wave of rappers. “I just passed it down to [Lil] Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti,” he said, nodding to two artists often praised for challenging hip hop’s style boundaries.
