More legal smoke for Stefon Diggs — and the timing couldn’t be bigger.

Just days before the New England Patriots suit up for Super Bowl LX, the star wide receiver has reportedly been hit with a lawsuit accusing him of defamation, civil conspiracy, and more.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a man who claims he previously worked for Diggs says trouble started back in July 2024. The man alleges Diggs asked him to arrange transportation for his Ferrari from Miami to New York and then to Houston. While the luxury car was in Houston, it was reportedly stolen.

The plaintiff claims law enforcement determined the Ferrari was taken by third parties in what was described as a sophisticated theft. However, he alleges Diggs began telling people within their circles that he was responsible for stealing the vehicle.

The man strongly denies any involvement in the theft and says he was never arrested or charged. He claims the alleged accusations severely damaged his concierge and consulting business, hurting his reputation and livelihood.

According to the lawsuit, things escalated beyond words. The plaintiff alleges that individuals close to Diggs began confronting him publicly in Houston and Miami, including at restaurants and even at his home. He claims some demanded he return gifts Diggs had previously given him.

In January 2025, the man says Diggs sent him a text message stating he was “responsible and accountable for all actions of those around me.”

The lawsuit also details an alleged physical altercation in December 2025 at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami. The man claims he was assaulted by two individuals said to be part of Diggs’ circle and suffered serious injuries, including a torn ACL. He further alleges that Diggs’ brother, NFL player Trevon Diggs, witnessed the incident and did not intervene.

Now, the plaintiff is seeking damages, naming both Stefon and Trevon Diggs as defendants. As of now, Diggs has not publicly responded to the claims.

With the Super Bowl just around the corner, this lawsuit adds an unexpected off-field storyline to an already high-stakes week.
