Soulja Boy Busted in L.A. After Cops Find Gun During Late-Night Traffic Stop

Soulja Boy’s weekend took a hard left early Sunday morning after he was arrested in Los Angeles when police say they found a firearm during a routine traffic stop.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the rapper was riding as a passenger in a vehicle pulled over around 2:30 AM. During the stop, officers reportedly spotted a firearm in the car. Soulja — who’s a convicted felon — was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Right now, it’s unclear why the vehicle was stopped in the first place, and police haven’t shared details about the firearm or if anyone else in the car is facing charges.

NBCLA first broke the news of Soulja’s arrest. His reps haven’t responded to requests for comment.

This isn’t Soulja’s first run-in with law enforcement, but depending on the outcome, this case could bring serious legal consequences.
