Ray J, often in the spotlight for his provocative antics and online controversies, is now seeking something deeper—redemption. In a recent Instagram video captured by The Jasmine Brand, the 44-year-old singer and entrepreneur took part in a spiritual rebirth. His father, Willie Norwood, prayed over him before guiding him into a pool in what Ray J described as a “spiritual cleansing after turning up for so long.”

The moment marked a clear shift for the Mississippi native, who says he wants to “re-center and let God in” after years of chaotic living. But not everyone is convinced of his transformation. One viral post questioning his sincerity asked, “Can Ray J be saved?”

Ray J didn’t hold back in his emotional response.

“I read the caption that says CAN RAY J BE SAVED? – CAN I BE SAVED? REALLY? SMH,” he wrote online. “That question goes against the whole meaning of love and forgiveness. Why can’t I be saved?? WOW! That’s krazy!”

He continued, expressing frustration with the judgment and a sense of hopelessness: “If nobody gives a… Then why should I?? ON THA DEAD HOMIEZ… It’s not ok.”

Ray J’s personal life is also facing turbulence. He’s navigating a difficult divorce from Princess Love—her fourth filing—which he says has left him “heart broke.” Despite the heartbreak, he acknowledges his continued love for her, though he says he no longer wants to be friends.

As he balances personal healing with spiritual awakening, Ray J’s story is one of complexity, contradictions, and perhaps, redemption. Whether or not the public chooses to believe in his transformation, Ray J insists this journey is real—and it’s just beginning.
