Nicki Minaj Channels 50 Cent Energy, Goes After Roc Nation, Desiree Perez, and JAY-Z in Explosive Online Rant

Nicki Minaj has taken a page out of 50 Cent’s playbook, launching a no-holds-barred tirade against Roc Nation and some of its key figures—including CEO Desiree Perez and rap mogul JAY-Z—in a series of explosive social media posts that have sent shockwaves through the industry.

The rap queen first took aim at Desiree Perez, reposting a video that accuses the Roc Nation CEO of allegedly abusing her daughter, Hadley Perez. The post, which included a screenshot of the video, was captioned by Minaj with mock concern:

“Oh no what’s going on The Shade Room?!?!!!! Help!!!!!”

According to NBC6 South Florida, a lawsuit filed last month details disturbing claims against Perez, alleging she used her influence and resources to have her daughter wrongfully institutionalized in a mental health facility for two weeks. The lawsuit claims Hadley was detained without valid cause, with supporting medical records and bodycam footage showing her being led into a vehicle against her will. A doctor’s evaluation reportedly cited unverified family allegations—including from Perez—that Hadley had attempted an overdose, which she denied.

The legal complaint further accuses Perez of meddling in Hadley’s marriage to Javon Hadley by fabricating domestic abuse claims. Perez had previously filed a case against Javon for allegedly abusing her daughter—a case that has since been dropped, and which both Hadley and her husband deny.

Minaj didn’t stop there.

She followed up with another blistering post—this time taking jabs at Roc Nation founder JAY-Z. Sharing a screenshot related to Raymir Satterthwaite, the man who claims to be Hov’s son and is currently seeking a court-ordered paternity test, Nicki added:

“Oh is this why he was trending the other day? Idk. I hope all is well. To God be the glory.”

Though the judge’s decision to move forward with Raymir’s paternity test request has not been officially confirmed, the 31-year-old has publicly urged Jay-Z to acknowledge him and settle the matter once and for all. “If he is not [my father], why can’t he prove me wrong?” Raymir previously told Daily Mail.

Nicki’s animosity toward Roc Nation appears to run deeper than just these lawsuits. Sources close to the star suggest her recent outburst may have been sparked by the NFL’s decision to snub Lil Wayne—Young Money CEO and her longtime mentor—from performing at the 2025 Super Bowl in his hometown of New Orleans. Instead, Kendrick Lamar was chosen to headline the halftime show.

Minaj vented her frustration online, blasting JAY-Z—who currently serves as the NFL’s live music entertainment strategist—for overlooking Wayne. She also took lyrical aim at Hov in her verse on Wayne’s recent track “Banned From N.O.,” rapping:

“NFL, fire some nias and then call us!”

The online attacks have added more fuel to the fire between Minaj and Roc Nation, reigniting years-old tensions and leaving fans wondering what other receipts she may be ready to unleash next. One thing is clear: Nicki isn’t biting her tongue—and she’s just getting started.
