Mike Epps Says My Bad! Comedian Apologizes to Nicki Minaj & Family After Donald Trump Joke In Louisville Sparks Backlash
Mike Epps is walking it back.
After a clip went viral showing the comedian taking shots at Nicki Minaj during a stop in Louisville on the “We Them Ones” tour, Epps has now issued a public apology to the Queen of rap and her family.
During his stand-up set, Mike made comments about Nicki aligning herself with Trump’s administration that quickly made their rounds online, sparking backlash from fans who felt the jokes crossed the line.
Mike posted a video to his social media apologizing to Nicki Minaj, her husband Kenneth Petty, and their young son. In the clip, Epps acknowledged the moment and said he’s taking accountability for what was said on stage.
He explained that as a comedian, he often leans into unfiltered humor in the heat of the moment.
As of now, Nicki Minaj has not publicly responded to the apology.
