Lil Uzi Vert Hit With Lawsuit Over Alleged Street Attack in NYC — Victim Says Rapper Ordered the Beatdown

Lil Uzi Vert is facing some serious legal heat after being accused of ordering a violent attack that left a man with severe injuries and lasting emotional trauma.

According to a lawsuit filed in New York by Vaughn Trotman, the April 17, 2024 incident went down in Manhattan near Broadway and 27th Street. Trotman says it all started when he snapped a photo of Uzi’s car. That harmless moment, he claims, quickly turned ugly.

Trotman alleges Uzi reacted by using a racial slur and yelling to his crew, “Get that man in the blue,” singling him out by his jacket. What followed, according to the suit, was a violent assault by Uzi’s entourage — and even Uzi himself.

“[Lil Uzi] then emerged from his vehicle and descended upon [Vaughn] as well while [Vaughn] was being choked, kicked, and punched,” said Trotman’s attorney, Jack Berry.

The alleged attack left Trotman with serious injuries to his neck, back, and right shoulder — injuries that required surgery. He says he’s also suffered emotional trauma and financial losses from being unable to work.

Adding insult to injury, the suit claims Uzi acknowledged breaking Trotman’s phone before throwing handfuls of hundred‑dollar bills into the crowd and calling him an expletive — then driving away from the scene.

The lawsuit names Lil Uzi Vert, his company Uzivert LLC, and several unidentified individuals, accusing them of assault, battery, and negligence. As of now, Uzi’s camp has yet to speak on the matter.
