Kid Cudi to Testify in Diddy’s Federal Sex Trafficking Trial Amid Explosive Car Bombing Allegations

Rapper and actor Kid Cudi is expected to testify this week in the federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, currently underway in Manhattan. Cudi’s anticipated testimony follows explosive allegations that Combs orchestrated a car bombing targeting the artist in 2011, after discovering Cudi’s brief relationship with Combs’ then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

Cassie, who testified earlier this month, recounted years of alleged abuse and coercion by Combs, including being forced into drug-fueled sex acts and enduring physical violence. She also detailed Combs’ extreme jealousy, citing an incident where he allegedly threatened to blow up Kid Cudi’s car—a threat that coincided with an actual explosion of Cudi’s vehicle in his driveway.

In addition to Cassie’s testimony, her mother, Regina Ventura, told the court that Combs demanded $20,000 from her and her husband after learning of Cassie’s relationship with Cudi. The Venturas reportedly took out a home equity loan to pay Combs, fearing for their daughter’s safety.

Combs faces multiple felony charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted, the 55-year-old music mogul could face a life sentence.

The trial, which began on May 5, has already featured testimony from several witnesses, including former assistants and associates, who have described a pattern of abuse and manipulation by Combs. Kid Cudi’s upcoming testimony is expected to shed further light on the extent of Combs’ alleged retaliatory actions against those connected to Cassie.
