Jay-Z Pushes for Sanctions Against Attorney Tony Buzbee Over Lawsuit Missteps

Jay-Z is seeking sanctions against high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee, arguing that he failed to meet with his client before filing a lawsuit against him and Diddy.

According to TMZ, legal documents reveal that Buzbee admitted he never personally met with the Jane Doe plaintiff before signing off on the case. Jay-Z’s team argues that this violates ethical obligations and questions the credibility of the lawsuit.

Buzbee, however, maintains that the case was properly vetted, stating he conducted interviews with the plaintiff alongside four other lawyers. The situation took another turn when Jane Doe later admitted in an NBC interview that she had made mistakes in her initial claims.

Calling Jay-Z’s motion “weak and desperate,” Buzbee insists that those criticizing him “have their own agendas.”
